Dr. Mark Carlson
Dr. Mark Carlson, a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist, has provided medical care to “Siouxlanders” since completing his training at the University of Minnesota, Abbott Northwestern, and Minneapolis Heart Institute. He has practiced medicine in Sioux City, Iowa, for the past 23 years.
He has served in numerous hospital clinic-based leadership roles. He regularly lectures on the topics of Internal Medicine with expertise in Cardiovascular risk prevention, advanced lipid management, osteoporosis, diabetes, and hypertension.
Dr. Carlson is committed to improving the health and welfare of the citizens of the community while emphasizing the importance of lifestyle choices and the prudent administration of clinical guidelines in medication management. Dr. Carlson founded Sioux City Hospitalists at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center and has served as its Medical Director.
He currently serves as Medical Director of the Siouxland Adult Medicine clinic and the St. Luke’s Executive Wellness Center. Dr. Carlson is dedicated to providing his patients with the very best in preventive and primary care through his personalized medicine program.
